The biggest issue is that AI is indeed a replacement for personhood without being a person in any way. I do think that artists will remain unique in being human, and thus having actual embodiment, feelings, etc. That said, humans are easily deceived by superstimuli so even though the product is genuinely less rich and meaningful, it may swamp out human art.

" humans are easily deceived by superstimuli"

Yes, I think this will be a major component.

I also think that if it were possible to distinguish between human created and AI that many would prefer to hold onto human connections. However, it is not clear that it will be possible to do so. Furthermore, it is going to become a gray area of definition very quickly. AI in some form is just going to be in every app/service we use.

Yes, I think distinguishment will be difficult. And we also may be corrupted by it anyway, like preferring artificial flavors over natural ones.

Eventually the only way out is going to be rejecting the internet or maybe other forms of human augmentation like neuralink to force honesty in groups.

Yes, I've seen a few artists comment that they are going back to physical art.

I think neuralink will likely lead down another rabbit hole of unexpected and undesirable outcomes for how we use it.

I should add that you and Ztiv are my favorite AI commentators. Thank you for keeping up.
