Philosophy for Rebels 23 - System Failure
Essentially, it would seem that there is no political ideology that is immune to collapse. They all reach the same inevitable end of authoritarian control.
The paths may differ, and some may reach the end quicker than others, but human nature prevails.
All of the guardrails any society or institution has attempted to build against such ends have proven to fail. All governments embark on the journey toward failure at the moment of their inception.
Understand, all the rules we make are to guard against power-seeking humans, and it is power-seeking humans that will disproportionately occupy government. We build fences against the wolves and then invite the wolves inside to watch the fences. How could this not fail?
