Lens of Reason 3 - Media
The media in which you trust is the most dangerous media of all.
It is often asked, “What media should I trust? What media is trustworthy?”. But what does “trust” mean? How do we consume information that we trust differently than we consume information that we do not trust?
When we trust, we are by default acting on the information as if it is correct. If it is trusted, then we do not challenge the information. However, anything accepted without question is allowing our lives to run on auto-pilot in the direction of someone else. Our minds are turned off and operating by remote control. We become the NPCs.
When we do not trust, we challenge the information. We question. We verify. Our minds in this state are still active and are analyzing what we see and hear.
